The Montreal Children’s Hospital (MCH) sees children with traumatic injuries or complex spine deformities requiring post-operative monitoring in the intensive care unit. Our team works Intimately with the Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada located next to the MCH, where the orthopedic team, primarily treat other orthopedic diseases and deformities.

Services

The Montreal Chilren’s Hospital (MCH) sees children with traumatic injuries or complex spine deformities requiring post-operative monitoring in the intensive care unit. Our Team works Intimately with the Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada located next to eh MCH, where the orthopedic team, primarily treats other orthopedic diseasese and deformities.

The Shriners Hospital for Children Canada tereats these following deformities with some occasional collaboration with the MCH:

  • Musculoskeletal injuries, including sports injuries
  • Spine deformities (neuromuscular, congenital and idiopathic scoliosis; kyphosis)
  • Hip diseases 
  • Congenital upper and lower limb deformities
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Spina bifida
  • Sports injuries
  • Skeletal dysplasias
  • Congenital foot deformities

Team

Our team of eight orthopedic surgeons work both at the MCH and the Shriners, and are all experts in trauma with different sub-specialties such as complex spine deformities, limb deformities, neuromuscular deformities and adolescent hip diseases.
