The Acute Pain Service (APS) follows hospitalized children for pain related to an injury, an operation or an illness. Our goal is to make our patients more comfortable during their hospital stay.

Services

All the children we help are given their own personalized, safe and effective pain treatments. Common methods include the use of:

  • painkiller medications, including different opioids 
  • epidurals 
  • nerve blocks
  • strategies that do not involve drugs 

Team

Our team is made up of pediatric anesthesiologists, nurses, pharmacists, and respiratory technicians.
