The Dermatology Division at the Montreal Children’s Hospital evaluates and manages a wide range of dermatological conditions, from the most common such as eczema, acne and vitiligo, to rarer skin and rheumatological conditions such as morphea or lupus.

Services

The Dermatology Division evaluates and treats common conditions such as atopic dermatitis (eczema), acne vulgaris, infantile hemangiomas (build-up of blood vessels), vitiligo (skin loses melatonin) and psoriasis as well as a variety of birthmarks and skin tumours or nevi. We also have the expertise to diagnose and treat rarer dermatological conditions and rashes including disorders of the hair and nails, genetic skin conditions and rheumatological conditions such as morphea or lupus. We can perform minor surgical excisions under local anesthesia when indicated.

We hold various clinics throughout the year:

  • Dermatological Surgery Clinic (weekly) 
  • Hemangioma Clinic (twice a month) 
  • Joint Rheumatology-Dermatology Clinic (4 to 6 times per year)

Referrals

We accept referrals for skin infections like tinea, impetigo, molluscum or facial warts. The referring physician must fill out our referral form and fax the request to 514- 412-4288.
