Child Development

I love working with children and their families because I don’t see it as work at all. My time with children, youth and their families is more of a chance for me to positively impact the development and behaviour of individuals, their caregivers and ultimately our society. I enjoy the chance to have this ongoing conversation about the way we should be looking after ourselves and our children, and in fact the whole of society in this world in which we live. It is a great gift that I get this opporrunity on a weekly basis, and I try to do my best to help kids and their families the best I can — sometimes that’s not enough, given how complex some issues are, and how hard it can be to get the right kinds of services, but I am rewarded by even the smallest successes and know that we are all working together toward the common goal of imrpoving the health and well-being of everyone in our society.
