Teaching

The Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) is a tertiary care pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with McGill University. It is also the only pediatric facility serving the McGill University’s Réseau universitaire intégré de Santé et Services sociaux (RUISSS-McGill).  We constantly pioneer new expertise through research, innovation and knowledge-sharing, offering the newest and most cutting-edge training to each new generation of healthcare professionals.

Each year, over 5,500 people are trained at MUHC hospitals, including more than 1,000 medical and surgical residents, 2,400 nurses, 550 medical students, 1,200 researchers, and 400 students in other health-related fields. These students go on to become the next generation of health professionals, serving our community at the MUHC and other Quebec institutions.

Much of this training is provided under the auspices of the Teaching Directorate.

Internships

Internships are reserved for students from CEGEP and university programs in Montreal that are affiliated with the MUHC. We do not accept shadowing requests or outside requests for internships. We thank you in advance for cooperating with our internship qualification guidelines.
