The Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology offers comprehensive, cutting-edge treatments for children and adolescents with allergies to certain foods, drugs or other environmental factors, and other immune system problems. Our goal is to strengthen immunity and reduce risk of experiencing allergic reactions.

Services

Depending on your child’s clinical history, different kinds of tests can be performed in order to detect a potential allergy.

  • Skin tests or blood tests
  • Food challenge tests, where foods or food capsules are ingested in small portions
  • Physical examinations
  • Genetic testing
  • Highly specialized examinations to evaluate children with difficulty fighting infections
  • Supervised drug challenges to diagnose hypersensitivities to certain drugs and medications
