Day or ambulatory surgery

Day surgery or ambulatory surgery means that your child will have surgery and be safely discharged from the hospital on the same day.

Make sure your child has a hospital card before you register
Register at the Surgery and Intervention Centre located at B03.3103.
It is important that your child follows the surgery fasting instructions you’ll receive before the day of the surgery. Surgery may be delayed or cancelled if these instructions are not followed.
During your child’s surgery, please stay in the hospital, so we can reach you during and after the surgery. We will call you when the surgery is over, so you can meet your child in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
