Services
The Montreal Children’s Hospital provides care to children with both common and rare eye conditions. Our services include targeted treatment options and surgical interventions.
We are equipped to handle a wide range of eye conditions including cataracts, corneal and anterior segment disorders, red eyes, low vision, and blindness. Other conditions we treat include:
- Strabismus, nystagmus and amblyopia
- Eye traumas
- Ocular and orbital conditions (requiring plastic surgery)
- Neuro-ophthalmological conditions including optic nerve and brain disorders
- Retinal degenerations (retinitis pigmentosa, leber congenital amaurosis, cone and cone-rod dystrophies)
- Night blindness
- Uveitis
We also care for diabetic, sickle cell, rheumatology, seizure and hemoglobinopathy patients.
We offer an interdisciplinary program for retinoblastoma and glaucoma in conjunction with CHU Sainte-Justine.
