The MCH Division of Pediatric Urology treats the entire spectrum of urological conditions that can affect children from the womb through birth and up to adulthood. Care is often provided through a multidisciplinary team format with collaboration from our colleagues in various programs and services at the hospital.

Services

We care for children with urologic issues, including peri-operative care, teaching and urodynamic testing. Our staff is highly experienced in dealing with children suffering from bladder dysfunction and neurogenic bladder issues.

Within the division we further sub-specialize into areas of clinical and research expertise including minimally invasive surgery, stone surgery, urethral reconstruction, bladder exstrophy, disorders of sexual differentiation, genitourinary tumors, peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation, neurogenic bladder and voiding dysfunction.

Commonly treated conditions include:

  • Hydronephrosis
  • Vesicoureteric reflux, urinary tract infection
  • Neurogenic bladder, urinary incontinence
  • Hypospadias
  • Hydroceles, hernias
  • Undescended testicles, varicocele
  • Phimosis
