3-month old Jazper is a little champ who underwent heart surgery at just 19 days old. “We didn’t find out that there was anything wrong with our beautiful baby boy until his two-week doctor’s appointment,” says his mom, Nadia. “His pediatrician, Dr. Richard Haber, heard a murmur and immediately checked his femoral pulse: he had none. We were referred to Dr. Charles Rohlicek, a cardiologist at the Children’s that would see us immediately. Four days after his two-week check-up, Jazper had emergency heart surgery to repair a severe coarctation of his aorta performed by Dr . Pierre- Luc Bernier.”
“It’s been over two months since our 19-day old baby had heart surgery. We are so blessed and grateful to have a happy ending. We get to celebrate his first Christmas and there are no words to truly express how lucky we feel and how grateful we are to Jazper’s pediatrician, cardiologist, surgeon and all of the staff at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. We received nothing but exceptional care. They saved our baby’s life and we are eternally grateful. The hospital is in constant need of donations to improve the care and facilities for patients. As the end of the year approaches you may be considering making a charitable donation. If so, please consider the Children’s, especially since the amazing P.K. Subban will be matching your donations until the end of the year. Much love!”
