They say a quilt is a blanket of love, and we received a ton of love this week! For over 10 years, a group of 25 quilting enthusiasts called Mothers for Others has donated their time and skill to quilt over 100 blankets for the Montreal Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), allowing us to give families a comforting gift during a very difficult time. This past Monday evening, the group — made up of mothers of former Loyola High School students and West Island quilters — visited the Children’s to present us with their beautiful donations that took all year to create. On behalf of our patients and families, many thanks for your thoughtful contribution to the hospital!
