Register for a family doctor

The quickest way to start treatment for a health problem is to visit your family doctor, rather than a hospital emergency room.

To have a family doctor or a nurse practitioner specialized in primary care (NPSPC) assigned to you, you can register on the waiting list of the Québec Family Doctor Finder (GAMF). The waiting time varies depending on the number of registrations in your region and the availability of doctors and NPSPCs.
