An easier way to confirm or cancel your appointment at the Children’s Hospital

An automated appointment confirmation text messaging service is now available at the Montreal Children’s Hospital (MCH). This will make it easier for you to let us know if you can make it to an appointment and it will reduce the need for follow-up calls. 

If you would like to use this service, be sure to: 

• provide your cellular phone number 
• keep your contact information up to date 

You can do this at the Admitting Office if you need to get a hospital card or at a clinic when you arrive for an appointment.  

Within 24 hours of an appointment being booked, a text message will be sent to the cellular phone number on file.

It will list the: 

• date and time of the appointment 
• type of appointment (in-person or telephone) 
• hospital site and address 
• clinic name  
• room location (if it is an in-person appointment) 
• options to confirm or cancel  

The text message will come from 438 288-0676  

Seven days before your appointment, you will receive another text message as a reminder, giving you the opportunity again to cancel or confirm your appointment. If you cancel or do not respond to the text message, someone from the hospital will call you back within a week to reschedule.
