Dear Anna and Bertrand,
The day has finally come!
On 28 July 2014, after over 2 years of treatment, Jade is finally cured! After being diagnosed in May 2012, Jade was able to beat her leukemia like a champion!
We will always remember our first appointment in the oncology clinic. We were very stressed about Jade’s diagnosis but as soon as the other children arrived and you started to do activities, we found out that there was a lot of life at the clinic.
For Jade, Child Life Services provided a source of comfort and enjoyment in the hospital. For many months, the activities in the clinic were the only social interaction that Jade experienced and she was always very excited to see you in the morning!
Your presence helped Jade’s recovery by allowing her to enjoy social activities despite her condition and to get to know other children in her same situation.
A sincere thank you for being there for us.
Jade, Caroline and Frederic Lambany
