Earlier this month, Kelly Cummins, Nurse Manager in the Emergency Department and Centre for Pediatric Simulation, Holly Lang, Nurse at the Centre for Pediatric Simulation, and MCH resident Dr. Eduardo Frias represented the Montreal Children’s Hospital at IPSSW 2026 in Rome, the world’s largest conference dedicated entirely to pediatric and perinatal simulation.
Through their presentations, they showcased innovative projects focused on improving patient safety, strengthening clinical skills and preparing healthcare teams to provide the safest and highest quality care possible for children and families.
From pediatric emergency simulations and technology designed to improve nursing workflow, to exercises aimed at preventing sentinel events, their work highlights the growing impact of simulation in advancing healthcare.
